The Graduate School GS@UGA brings together the university and its partner research institutes to achieve a high level training through research, combining the Master and PhD level. Supported by the French National Research Agency, GS@UGA offers Master scholarships for international students, funding for outgoing mobility, and funding for excellence research internships for bachelor students. More than 60 PhD positions are offered each year in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology in the Grenoble area.
Master scholarships: a call is opened for the next school-year 2022-2023 for the award of six scholarships dedicated to international students in each one of the programs Quantum and Soft Nanosciences. The scholarships amount to €16,000 and cover the tuition fees and living expenses for the two years of study in the Master's programme. Application deadline: June 1st 2022.
Formation through research in the master N2
The master program N2 builds on the strength of the Grenoble research community to provide a strong formation through research. A significant portion of the second year courses are taught by researchers of the partner institutes. The standard curriculum contains more than 7 months of full time research internships:
the M2 master thesis of 5 months minimum, starting end of January
In addition, the Research Intensive Training offers students the possibility of extending these internships with a continuous immersion in their labs in parallel to their courses, thanks to elective modules. Following this training, students can prepare actively a continuation in PhD.
Research internship allowance
According to French law, internships must be covered by a convention de stage. During the internship, the research institute pays the student an allowance of 590€/month, for a maximum duration of 6 months in a given academic year.
