The Master N² program is a 2 years program acredited for the period 2021-2026 by the université Grenoble Alpes and  Grenoble National Polytechnic Institute, with the partnership of CEA-INSTN.

All courses except in the track "Ingeniérie des micro et nanostructures" (IMN) are taught in english and welcome a majority of international students. The IMN track is available in "alternance" for professional students who work in a company, and is taught in french.

Each year or the program is made of 60 ECTS. Students can apply either to the first year (M1) or the second year (M2) depending on their previous background. See admission requirements.

The first year has 3 majors tailored to receive students according to their previous background. By a suitable choice of elective courses, it prepares them to several of the 8 M2 tracks of the programm.

In addition the Research Intensive Track (RIT) is dedicated to Bachelors of Science totalizing 4 years of higher education. They start their master thesis in the first year and pursue their second year in one of the M2 tracks.

The Master N² also  offers a joined-diploma Eramus Mundus Nano with KU Leuven, Belgium, and double-diplomas with the Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia, and with Tsukuba University, Japan.
